I’ll cut right to the chase here and say: Jaipur was amazing! Although I’d been to Rajasthan (Indian state) on a previous India trip, this was my first time in the Pink City–and it did not disappoint!

I loved the architecture, the visible history, the grand palaces, and the lively and chaotic city center. I enjoyed zipping around the city by auto rickshaw, listening to street musicians, exploring ancient structures, and bargaining with vendors. Even the desert climate was a welcome change (the hottest day was 113 degrees, but I’d take that dry heat over Mumbai’s hot-wet-blanket-of-despair humidity any day!).

There’s honestly SO much to say about Jaipur and each of the places below, but in the interest of time I’m going to make this a visual post and let the images speak for themselves. (These are just a few of the photos; click here to see more on Instagram).
